Today my AGS group gathered up all our food donations and made huge baskets full of canned and boxed goods, then delivered them to four families that were recommended to us from elementary schools based on their income level. It was awesome! Each family got a huge basket stuffed with canned and boxed goods, a turkey, a ham, three packs of rolls, two pies, and a bottle of cider. The first family was truly the most emotional, a family of eleven living in a clustered two bedroom apartment area (in other words, bad side of town) Seeing the little kids faces and eyes light up when five of us arms full of food delivered to their house was great, the mother also seemed relieved. So I encourage whoever is reading this to go out of your way and make some ones day. Not by going out and buying extravagant items and giving them away, but I believe we can make the world a better place by simply being more giving and caring about the people around us, go out of your way for a friend or family member, make them dinner when everyones been to busy, help with homework, even just sitting and really listening to them talk about their day. Make some one laugh who looks bummed! Little things like that do make the world a better place. So I'll be posting more pictures when I get them, and I'm so excited for our Christmas Project!! Can't give any details yet, but stay tuned! haha!! Asta La Pasta Bloggies!
